Job Description
Casa Nela is seeking a Prep Cook-Production Baker for Rosemary's Pantry. Nestled in Stuytown, The Pantry provides a counter service of Rosemary's authentic Italian cuisine. The Pantry offers specialty coffee drinks, laminated pastries, and sandwiches, while also providing provisions to be enjoyed on the go or at home.
The Prep Cook-Production Baker will aid the Head Baker and prep for pantry service. The right person for this role must be highly reliable -- as you will be among the first to arrive, as early as 5am!
REQUIREMENTS:
-Assist in the production of artisan pastries, laminated doughs, and breads daily
-Familiarization with scaling recipes, portioning, shaping, proofing and other techniques while ensuring consistency and standardization of recipes
-Maintains high levels of cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas, adhering to Department of Health standards and company policy
-Comfortable using kitchen tools and equipment such as: stand mixers, convection/deck ovens, cutting tools, rolling pins, electric scales, etc.
