Job: CNC Programmer & Operator – 1st Shift
Must have proven on the job experience developing CNC programs (G&M) for 2-axis and 3-axis machines.
Primary Duties:
- Set up CNC machines for machine shop lathe and mill operators
- Modify current programs and/or write new programs to help the business reduce process time and costs, improve delivery time for clients
- Utilizing multiple machines, turn tensiles, and mill samples down to meet customer needs. All duties include but are not limited to the following:
Mill:
- Charpies
- Hardness
- Fracture Toughness
- Acme Plates
- Bend Tests
- Fixturing
- Stamping samples
- Minor Repairs
- Adjust Offsets
- Change / Adjust Inserts & Tooling
- Helping out / Cross Training where necessary
Lathe:
- Center Drill Samples
- Etch sample ID on both ends of tensiles
- Adjust Offsets
- Change/ Adjust Inserts & Tooling
- Minor Repairs
- Adding coolant and oil when necessary
- Making / sharpening a center when necessary
- Helping out / Cross Training where necessary
Competencies
- Ability to read and write with G-code
Pay / Shift
- Starts at $29/hr
- M-F 1st / 2nd shift (8 hours) opportunities
- Overtime available depending on demand
- 30-minute lunch and two 10-minute breaks
Personal Protective Equipment / Uniform
- All PPE provided by employer
- Uniform provided after 90 days
Experience
- Prior CNC program creation experience required
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED preferred, but not required
