Salary: $21 per hour

JOB SUMMARY:  

Assists with preparing guest meals within safety, quality, quantity and budgetary guidelines.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assists in ensuring kitchen equipment is maintained and used according to departmental health and safety standards.
  • Assists in ensuring kitchens are operating within San Bernardino County Health Department codes and guidelines.
  • Assists the Banquet Chef and in requisitioning food items from the Commissary as needed.
  • Actively supports and participates in spiritual life activities.
  • Works in assigned areas as directed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of related work experience.
  • Valid San Bernardino County food handler’s card; ServSafe preferred.
