Director of Patient Care Services - RN

Under the direction of the Administrator, the Director of Patient Care Services has overall responsibility for coordination of patient care services and is responsible for any activities relevant to patient care services and is a qualified designee in the absence of the Administrator.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred but not required; and
• Is currently licensed by the state of California as a registered nurse; and
• Is experienced or trained in nursing services administration and/or Public Health/Home Health Nursing; and
• Has 3 years of RN expertise within the last five years for holders of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; or if no Bachelor’s Degree, has 4 years of RN expertise within the last five years; and
• Has at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory/administrative capacity in a community health setting; and
• Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to apply basic principles of nursing care and teaching; and
• Demonstrates leadership ability and capability to work effectively with all levels of personnel; and
• Maintains an interest and knowledge of current trends and new developments in nursing and health administration; and
• Demonstrates interest and ability to work effectively with the community; and
• Demonstrates knowledge of State and Federal regulations pertinent to hospice and home healthcare including Medicare Conditions of Participation, Title 22, and accreditation standards.
• Must possess current CPR card.
