We are hiring skilled and dedicated Arborist Spray Technicians to join our growing Plant Healthcare team. As an Arborist Spray Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and vitality of trees and shrubs by implementing effective pest and disease control measures.
Responsibilities:
Pest and Disease Identification: Accurately identify various pests and diseases affecting trees and shrubs. Spraying includes tree and shrub care, tick sprays, deer repellents, tree fertilizer.
Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the Arborists and Tree Care Specialists to develop comprehensive treatment plans based on the specific needs of each tree or shrub.
Chemical Application: Safely and efficiently apply pesticides, fertilizers, and other treatments to control pests and diseases, ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain spray equipment to ensure proper functionality and adherence to safety standards.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of treatments administered, including the type and quantity of chemicals used, as well as the condition of each tree or shrub.
Customer Communication: Interact with clients to explain treatment plans, address concerns, and provide recommendations for ongoing tree and shrub care.
Continued Education: Stay informed about the latest developments in arboriculture, pest control, and tree care practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Arborist Spray Technician or in a related field is strongly preferred
- Will train for the right candidate
- Strong knowledge of tree and shrub pests, diseases, and treatment options
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- DEC pesticide license is preferred
