Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Covington, LA

Hourly Rate: $17/hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Covington, LA. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address any outstanding issues.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring adherence to payment schedules.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts payable transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to resolve inquiries and issues.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Experience with accounting software; knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
