Why This Job – PART-TIME CONTRACT ACCOUNTANT
This woman-owned construction business is hiring a part-time contract accountant. This opportunity is 100% remote and flexible in scheduling. This role would require someone who is well-versed in tax filings and can provide a consultative approach to working with and educating the owners of the company on financial matters. This is ideal for someone who has previous experience working with construction businesses who is flexible to working up to 5 hours per week.  

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Prepare company taxes and work closely with owner on bookkeeping
• Maintain a consultative approach while working with owners and advising on most beneficial routes forward on financial matters
• Manage financial reporting, audit taxes, and filing Schedule C (1040)
• Educate owners on any tax laws or filing regulations they should be privy to

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need:

• Active CPA in the state of Colorado
• Experience within the construction industry
• Strong QuickBooks online knowledge
• Experienced with Schedule C filings
• Previous experience with rural areas/permits is a huge plus

Where and How Much:

• 100% remote, must be subject matter expert with Colorado taxes, specifically
• Contract position; approx. 5 hours per week
