EDUCATION AND LIBRARY SALES CONSULTANT - Outside Sales Representative

About the Position and Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a self-starting individual to join our company as an Education and Library Sales Consultant for the Texas Panhandle and surrounding counties. As part of our team, you will work with existing customers as well as develop and maintain new customers by visiting with them and providing onsite presentations to show and sell our products within the assigned sales territory. The position and responsibilities also include:

· Work with the Regional Sales Manager to implement effective sales strategies to drive sales within the assigned territory

· Identify prospects, set appointments and make effective qualifying sales calls to expand new business

· Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers within the assigned sales territory

· Travel within your territory to meet with and sell to customers

· Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products and services to effectively present to customers

· Attend local and/or state trade shows

This is an Independent Contractor position.

About You:

Must have a strong ability to work and relate to customers in the education and public library industry. This includes but is not limited to Librarians, Curriculum Coordinators, Title I Coordinators, Principals, Reading Program Directors, and Teachers. Also, we are looking for someone who possesses the following:

· Proven sales track record in new account acquisition and retention

· Exceptional speaking and active listening skills

· Self-motivated and driven

· Able to prospect and cold call effectively

· Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel)

· Reliable transportation

· Ability to lift 30 pounds

· College degree preferred
