Position Overview

The primary responsibilities of a Process Improvement Engineer are to analyze and solve meaningful problems within our production process. You will be leading projects and guiding teams to ensure production efficiencies. Being able to improve current processes are vital to the success of this role.

You’ll guarantee that workflows and standard operating procedures are established in an efficient manner. In a fast paced environment like production, this position is an integral part of the manufacturing process. You must be able to comprehend complex operations as well as capable of optimizing day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement activities that help reduce scrap, improve material and equipment optimization and minimize production costs.

  • Develop, evaluate, improve, and document operational procedures and sequence of operations for manufacturing processes.

  • Incorporate and document new methods and processes to improve existing operations.

  • Investigate and resolve operational problems such as material use variances and bottlenecks.

  • Lead process improvement initiatives and organizational change to increase operational efficiencies.

  • Work with multi-functional teams to solve and resolve quality problems and identify systems issues.

  • Know and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, industrial, mechanical engineering or a related technical field, preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in process design, process equipment, process instrumentation, manufacturing operations, or process engineering support roles in the manufacturing industry, or related environments

  • Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral, sound business judgment, strong interpersonal and technical skills and a professional demeanor.

  • Automation control knowledge and experience is a plus.

  • Must be able to independently and effectively work well with people at all levels of the company.
