About this job

- Monitor and update environmental compliance programs (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP)
- Conduct environmental training (e.g., SPCC, Storm Water, Air Compliance, ISO 14001)
- Complete regulatory reporting (e.g., SARA Tier II and TRI reports)
- Audit compliance with environmental permits (e.g., Air Permits, NPDES Permits)
- Perform certified visible emission readings
- Collect environmental samples (e.g., waste, storm water), review and communicate results
- Support remediation, construction and demolition projects
- Participate in site EHS audits
- Assist in investigating environmental related incidents, determining root causes and corrective actions
- Monitor compliance and training records
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations
- Develop and maintain positive relations with internal and external stakeholders to support EHS programs
- Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by manager
- 0 - 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of EPA and state environmental regulations
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint (AutoCad a plus)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to interface with various levels of employees and customers
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, strong self-starter
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle, valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to travel up to 50% by ground and air
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental sciences, or similar discipline
