Position Title: Conveyor Mechanic – 2nd Shift
Wage: $20.00-$25.00 per hour based on experience
Shift: 2nd
Hours: 5:00pm-3:00am (Mon-Thurs)

Conveyor Mechanic Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Repairs and adjusts conveyor system.
- Installs belts on conveyor system, tightens belts, adjusts tension rolls, aligns rollers and replaces defective parts.
- Responsible for ordering parts from vendors for the conveyor system.
- Work with Chief Mechanic & Fleet Manager and Operations Manager to ensure maintenance is completed as needed.
- Primary interface to warehouse management vendor.
- Performs maintenance audits on the conveyor system.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control systems.
- Cleans the conveyor system as needed.
- Assists in moving semi-tractor trailers and small trucks in and out of loading bays.
- Travels to other company locations to perform maintenance as needed.
- Performs metal fabrication and welding as needed.
- May be required to attend company meetings on non-scheduled workdays.
- May be required to flex hours to support all areas of the business.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Conveyor Mechanic Requirements:
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Must be able to work independently and in the context of a team environment.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Strong mechanical background.
- Good understanding of conveyor systems, sorters, and spirals.
- Must understand lock out tag out procedures.
- Must be qualified to operate a scissor lift.
- Intermediate decision making, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills.
- Adhere to all safety procedures/standards within the course of performing job duties.
- Must possess or acquire basic mechanic tools.
