ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Woodhull, IL. As a contracted Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing support and specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students and collaborate with a dynamic team of educators and professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various academic subjects and functional skills.
  • Utilize effective teaching strategies and accommodations to promote student engagement and academic progress.
  • Collaborate with other members of the educational team, including parents, teachers, and support staff, to facilitate student success and inclusion.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding student performance, behavior, and IEP goals.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters growth, independence, and self-advocacy skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Valid Special Education teaching license or certification in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
  • Passion for supporting students with disabilities and promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.
