Technical Service Department Manager

Summary: Seeking a Technical Service Department Manager to lead the department at the heart of customer service, production support, and sales processes.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Sales Team by maintaining product content, assisting with customer calls, offering training, and creating marketing materials.

• Provide Customer Support through troubleshooting calls, writing technical documents for project engineers, and addressing field issues.

• Aid the Production Team in designing components and supplying necessary drawings for custom parts fabrication.

• Develop processes for accurate job quoting, managing tech emails, logging RFQs, reviewing purchase orders, and conducting price list analyses.

• Stay updated on industry standards (UL/ETL, NFPA, ASTM), drafting/estimating software advancements, and competitive market dynamics.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Familiarity with sheet metal products and venting systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.

• Minimum 5 years of management experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.

• Background in mechanical engineering with sales experience.

Reporting Structure:

• This position reports directly to the Director of Sales.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position requiring on-site presence during regular hours (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with overtime as needed.

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
