Material Handler

We have several immediate openings to fill for Material Handlers. This is a Material Handler project located in Fernley NV.
Material Handlers will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with moving materials stored outside and inside. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. The ideal candidate has a proven record of success in fast-paced environments. The successful candidate for this position takes pride in his/her hands-on and analytical abilities, organization skills and attention to detail.

Material Handler Benefits:

• Pay rate is $22.00
• Shift schedule is 12 hour shifts from 6am to 6pm
• Rotating 3 to 4 day work week

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Collection/exchange of drums and transport to staging area for pick up. You will also help with the sorting, proper labeling and documentation.
• Physical work including but not limited to pushing, pulling, gripping, twisting, reaching, etc.
• Ability to follow a required specific sequence of steps in a process repetitively for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to pay attention to safety protocols when handling batteries.
• Demonstrated ability to perform standardized work process and defined work instructions.

Material Handler Requirements:

• Current forklift experience. Forklift certification strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be reliable, have good initiative, be committed, and be quality focused.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. when you are sorting and kitting prior to moving materials.
• Ability to work with a team and in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.
