Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking anOperations Control Center Supervisorfor fixed route service, who works to direct the day-to-day route operations and report to the Manager of Service Management. This work is done in compliance with the procedures defined by the client and in conformance with company procedures. His/her duties involve daily communication and interaction with Coach Operators, Road Supervisors, Dispatch and clients. He/she must also organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost-effective, on-time operating performance. Coordinates bus operations, responding to mechanical breakdowns, managing on time performance, coordinate emergency response when needed, respond to calls from operators and/or customers as appropriate.

Responsibilties:

  • Coordinates emergency and routing response and delay mitigation strategies between operations control center and field supervisory staff.
  • Provides assistance to operators in the event of emergency, PRTT - priority request to talk or SAS silence alarm system message, vehicle malfunctions, communicating with operations, safety and maintenance staff where appropriate.
  • Monitors radio, telephones, operators and road supervision while making adjustments and reassignments as necessary to ensure on time performance.
  • Coordinates bus bridges, emergency and routing response and delay mitigation strategies between Coaster, Sprinter and the client.
  • Document accurately and appropriately daily events related to service.
  • Communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling or passenger issues.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Maintain attendance within policy.
  • Responsible for influencing positive employee morale and quality customer service.
  • Participates in analysis and review of operating performance.
  • Notes missed and/or late starting of routes and communicates to Dispatch and/or Managers as appropriate.
  • Handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively in a fast paced environment
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

  • One (1) year previous Dispatcher experience.
  • Two (2) years of Customer Service experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a current and valid California Driver's license with at least two years of driving experience.
  • Must have a CDL B with appropriate endorsements.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Experience with Orbital software.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain composure under pressure in a fast pace environment.
  • Demonstrate a high customer service commitment.
  • Able to demonstrate professional phone manner.
  • Knowledge of the service area is a plus.

Starting pay rate:$30.87/hour
