Job Description
Position Summary:
The safety and health of employees take precedence over any other duties of this position. The Project Engineer will be responsible for conceiving, developing, implementing, and procedures. This role involves entire engineering projects, including documentation, parts selection, construction, debugging, installation, and customer interface. The Project Engineer will also coordinate with division management on strategic technical issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promote safety in all aspects of employment.
- Direct drafters, designers, and technicians assigned to projects.
- Coordinate projects with other departments.
- Design complex processes and equipment.
- Supervise construction, debugging, and installation.
- Make cost and schedule estimates for project proposals.
- Develop project plans and act as the project leader.
- Maintain a high product, process, and mechanical development skill level.
- Maintain and improve advanced computer skills.
- Contribute ideas for product development and process improvement.
- Maintain records, write technical reports, and protect intellectual property.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel, division managers, marketing, and other disciplines.
Education Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Experience:
At least 3 years of related experience as or equivalent to an Engineer III
Must-Haves:
- Machinist Experience
- Experience in Tool Room
- Knowledge of evaluating tooling & Plastic Injection Molding Experience
Nice-To-Haves:
- Project Engineer experience focusing on tooling and Plastic Injection Molding
Additional Information:
Travel needs for this role can be as heavy as 50 to 70% depending on project locations.
