Job Description

Join the First Bank team as a Cash Management Specialist. As a Cash Management Specialist, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service to cash management customers and facilitating the growth of this segment of the bank. Helping our customers succeed is something we strive to do each day and you could play an integral part in that.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Be a knowledgeable resource on business products and services; including but not limited to deposit accounts, business credit cards, remote deposit capture, merchants credit card services, and business online banking.
  • Provide a high level of customer service in response to customer questions and/or concerns on cash management products and services in a timely manner.
  • Add, maintain, and remove business services for customers as needed.
  • Engage in training and continuing education to develop, stay up to date, and improve knowledge and skills.

Sales:

  • Present or sell cash management services to customers as needed.
  • Support sales team in facilitating the onboarding of new cash management customers.
  • Work with bankers to open new accounts within bank guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain the cash management intranet pages.
  • Provide content for cash management e-newsletter.
  • Develop sales and referral strategies for the full array of cash management products.
  • Ensure all bank employees understand the various cash management product features and functions.

Other:

  • Perform internal real estate appraisal reviews for regulatory compliance.
  • Work as one collective bank team and assist in other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum: 2-year degree in business or accounting or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: 4-year degree in business or accounting
  • 2 years of customer service experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge in balance sheets for ag, business and individuals, income statements, tax returns, cash flows, financial ratios, accounting, and economics.
  • Effective communication skills by phone, in person, and written means.
  • Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to analytically process information.
