SAFETY COORDINATOR

Gibson EMC has a Safety Coordinator position open for our Trenton Member Service Center located at 1207 S. College St., Trenton, TN.

This position develops and administers a comprehensive safety program for employees, members and the public, establishing and maintaining a positive safety culture.

To be well qualified for this position, an applicant must have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with successful completion of Algebra I and II
• Completed course(s) related to electric and broadband utility safety
• Valid Class D Tennessee driver's license
• Valid CPR/First-Aid Certificate
• Knowledge of safe electric and broadband work practices
• Knowledge of effective safety coordination practices, including accident investigation
• Knowledge of materials and equipment used in electric and broadband utility distribution
• Knowledge of APPA Safety Manual, RUS construction specifications, OSHA, Tennessee OSHA, and Kentucky OSHA Rules and Regulations, DOT Regulations, the National Electric Safety Code and the National Electric Code
• Knowledge of and ability to teach and administer CPR/First-Aid
• Knowledge of EPA regulations and record-keeping for regulatory compliance
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the Safety Coordinator job description.
