About this job

Responsible for preparing the park for the next operating day by emptying trash and cardboard boxes, assisting in the maintenance of the restrooms, and the floor care of the retail and food establishments

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for sweeping and maintaining all Parking Lots
  • Must change all trash cans in Parking Lots.
  • Lifting, transporting, pushing/pulling trash and recyclables.
  • Cross train in floor care which includes carpet extraction, stripping, and waxing floors.
  • Responsible for the use and care of all equipment assigned to them.
  • Well trained in all facets of the use of cleaning supplies and the application process.
  • Trained in the use of all Park Services vehicles, including Tugs, Water truck, and Sweeper truck.
  • Must be able to read chemical labels and MSDS of cleaning substances.
  • Must clean in a pre-planned order and on a continuous rotation during shift periods.
  • Maintain high standards of performance for all areas within their responsibilities.
  • Maintain control of your area in the event of an emergency.
  • Cooperate with all team members, supervisors, managers, etc.
  • Complete any and all tasks as requested by Six Flags Management that I have been trained for.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years and older.
  • Must have a valid NJ driver license as needed for vehicle operation.
  • Must be able to understand English and follow directions.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and walk the park and parking lots on a continual basis.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and to execute quickly.
  • Must be able to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must obtain a park license as needed.
  • Must maintain proper attendance and timeliness.
  • Must clock in and out each day to receive proper pay.
  • Must be able to wear Protective equipment such as traffic vest, gloves, and safety glasses.
