If so, we might have just the opportunity you're looking for!Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Manager, Material Minimization, Security & International Safeguards.Our team works on-site 9x80 schedule located at our REC facility with every other Friday off!Responsibilities Include:Provide management leadership, oversight, mentorship and direction to the Material Minimization, Security & International Safeguards Department. This is one of two departments within the Nuclear Nonproliferation Division with programs and personnel consisting of a diverse group of scientists, engineers and other staff. Leverage overall Laboratory expertise and infrastructure to support missions of National security importance in the areas of Material Minimization, Material Security, and International Safeguards.Acts in accordance with stated INL values, uses good judgment, uses ethical considerations to guide decisions and actions, makes timely decisions, readily understands sophisticated issues and develops solutions that effectively address problems.Communicate confidence and steadiness in difficult situations. Disseminates information about decisions, plans and activities.Provide leadership of Nonproliferation Programs that are among the most impactful to national security, are highly complex, and make up a substantial portion of the overall budget authority of the National & Homeland Security Directorate, in excess of $100M. Major programs include the Russian-origin fuel removal program involving the repatriation of highly-enriched uranium to Russia from less secure locations around the globe, the research reactor conversion program involving the conversion of reactors to low-enriched uranium and international safeguards. These programs are highly complex, involving international agreements and activities, and involving the coordination of resources and facilities across the INL and across the DOE complex.Develop and maintain key NNSA DNN customer relations (NA-21, NA-23, NA-24) and associated program funding levels for INL which exceed $100M/year.Achieve and sustain a high level of customer satisfaction indicative of high-quality, impactful deliverables. Effective measures must be in place to supervise customer satisfaction through regular contact and feedback.Coordinate with National & Homeland Security strategy, business development and directorate leadership to implement strategic plans and business strategies that result in significant growth of INL's role in the mission area.Monitor all Department projects to ensure the Department delivers high-quality products on budget, on schedule and in full compliance with Laboratory policies and procedures. Budgets and schedules must be developed with buy-in from performing organizations and stakeholders (internal and external). Outstanding performance accountability must be established, and effective monitoring must be applied for early identification and resolution of problems.Continuously build on the capabilities and reputation of the Department staff by purposefully recruiting outstanding expertise and best-in-class performers, by providing development opportunities aligned with current and future missions, and by establishing a very high level of staff engagement and accountability. Performance issues must be addressed quickly and critically, and excellent performance must be recognized and rewarded.Minimum Requirements:Master of Science in scientific or engineering field and 11 years of relevant technical, project, and personnel management experience.At least 5 years direct experience in support of federal sponsors in programs related to national security.
