The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryThe Senior Associate Athletic Director has oversight over direct Building Operations including, Facility Management, Capital Projects, Events as well as Physical Education and Recreation. The Senior Associate Athletic Director will also act as the Sport Program Administrator for assigned sports.  The Senior Associate Athletic Director will be a member of the Athletic Departments Senior Leadership team and support department-wide strategic initiatives and projects.Exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Ivy League, University, and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Code of Ethics and rules and regulations.Contribute to the maintenance of good working relationships with all members of the Department.ResponsibilitiesOversight of Facility Operations for Dodge Physical Fitness Center, Baker Athletics Complex, and other assigned athletic facility spacesDirect and supervise all aspects of assigned varsity sports programs, including program management for individual intercollegiate athletics teams, recruitment and hiring of assistant coaches, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, and contest schedulingParticipate in Senior Leadership discussions and support strategic initiatives and programs at the direction of The DirectorSupport assigned sport programs through Admissions and Financial Aid processesProvide direction and management of the Physical Education and Recreation departmentResponsible for oversight of athletic game day operations for all 31 sportsMaintain fiscal responsibility and oversight of budgets and policies and procedures for assigned areasOversee all capital improvement and facility projects in all athletic and recreation facilitiesAdminister working relationship with Columbia University Facilities to coordinate scheduling of all custodial, field maintenance and mechanical concerns for the Dodge Physical Fitness Center and the Baker Athletics ComplexDepartment point of contact for housing and parking offices, Department Policy and Procedures manualsAssume other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required;Minimum seven years' related experience required.Successful experience in athletics administration preferably at the NCAA Division I level.
