Visit oxy.com for more information. Our greatest asset has been, and will continue to be, our people.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Manager, Engineering Services in our US Onshore Resources & Carbon Management (ORCM), Production Operations unit based in Denver, Colorado. The Manager, Engineering Services is a Denver based member of the Facilities Engineering Management Team and has responsibility for assuring the integrity of Technical Engineering Practices, Facilities and Construction and HSE.  This role will work closely with all Engineering Chiefs and operations business segments to ensure that their engineering is standardized where practical across the organization, optimized, governed, and appropriately accessible.  This position will work to continuously improve engineering quality and identify opportunities to utilize analytics in solving business problems in order to optimize company decision-making.  This position works closely with Function leadership, Business Unit (BU) leadership, and Engineering discipline leaders to provide solutions that form the foundation of efficient information delivery.  Job Description Serves as a technical authority related to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices and provides Company standards related to Facilities Engineering and Construction. Active in oil and gas industry technical associations. Drive for reducing hydrocarbon emissions through sound engineering practices. Actively participates in reviews of work by Facilities Engineers and their teammates from supporting disciplines to help ensure the work is complete, follows Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices, and adherence to Company policies, standards, and workflows. Mentors Facilities Engineers to help produce results that significantly impact company performance.  Encourages and enables others to challenge the status quo, generate promising new ideas, explore different approaches.  Demonstrates a passion for quality and innovation.  Supports hiring new Facilities Engineers. Facilitates internal transfers of Facilities Engineering staff.  Reviews promotions of Facilities Engineering staff. Provides vision for, and contributes to, the Oxy Facilities Engineering communities of practice. Fosters multi-organizational, multi-disciplinary integration and collaboration. Displays drive and dedication. Communicates well with all levels of the organization including management, colleagues, various internal work groups, and other stake holders. Ability to interact with executives and visiting dignitaries. Frequently participates with OXY’s top technical experts from multiple disciplines. QualificationsQualificationsBS or higher degree in Mechanical / Chemical Process / Civil Engineering or related discipline. 15+ years in the oil and gas industry; 10+ years in Facilities Engineering. Has theoretical and practical knowledge of Facilities Engineering disciplines including (1) Electrical Engineering related to power transmission and distribution along with facilities power; (2) Control Systems Engineering related to process control; (3) Mechanical Engineering related to rotating equipment including pumps and compressors, static equipment including vessels and piping, and pipeline design; (4) Civil Engineering related to foundations, soils and erosion control. Has theoretical and practical knowledge of Facilities construction in all related disciplines. Has practical knowledge in all aspects of the supply chain including material and equipment procurement along with labor contracts. Demonstrated mastery of Project Management methodology including Facilities experience in project feasibility, scope definition, cost estimation, detailed design, and construction. Facilities engineering experience to include in primary, secondary and tertiary oil and gas production along with gas processing.   Excellent business acumen.  Ability to define/quantify business risks and uncertainties. Track record of having successfully developed individuals and organizations. Interpersonal skills to communicate well, mentor, beneficially influence others, build teamwork, and spur innovation. Domestic and international Facilities Engineering experience is required.  Salary RangeDiscretionary Bonus$192,000 - $264,0000-60%*Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements may receive consideration for higher-level role given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs.
