What You'll DoWe’re looking for an Assistant Director of Engineering to join our RIS (Retirement and Income Solutions) team. In this role, you’ll lead several of our Salesforce teams, play a critical role in implementing modern technology and help to grow our teams’ engineering skills. We are modernizing our business capabilities and technologies, improving the customer experience, and streamlining our business operations. We need someone who can lead through this exciting work and establish our application strategy to align with technical roadmaps and goals.Start with the customer and work backwards. Work vigorously to earn and keep customer trust. Pay attention to competitors, but obsess over customers. Promote this passion and product mentality with the team.Work with collaborators and engineers to negotiate and handle technical trade-offs.Create a culture of clear accountability. Motivate every single employee to take action and engage employees with a compelling mission and vision.Collaborate with business partners to understand business strategy and make recommendations on future technical trends/directions that can deliver on strategic business objectives.Model a growth mindset and mentor and coach others. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
