DescriptionThe Director works side by side with RDAA Business Excellence lead across multiple cross-functional and divisional stakeholders to drive key strategic initiatives and centralized operational functions for Portfolio Strategy and Operations organization to support RDAA.  Anticipates business needs through strategic planning and trend analysis and with alignment of key stakeholders across R&D with interfaces in commercial and operations. Operates with a continuous improvement mindset driving strategic initiatives and enabling cross-functional operational efficiencies. Will operate proactively, owning work under support and anticipating future business needs.Responsibilities: ·       Works with cross-functional business operations team to develop process improvement business cases and manage rollout/implementation to the RDAA organization·       Leads development of KPIs and analytics for third party process support to drive continuous improvement in support model·       Supports broader team executing third party processes working with RDAA stakeholders and AbbVie partners such as the Central Consulting Group and Purchasing functions.·       Supports cross-functional strategy work including (but not limited to) – above asset GPSO initiatives and workshops supporting strategy development·       Drives cross-functional development of executive communications materials for key leadership readouts·       Co-lead strategic workshop sessions as needed across RDAA functions·       Develop R&D AA playbooks, tools, and templates to enable Allergan Aesthetics streamlined capabilities and ways of working·       Builds partnerships with staff, vendors, Legal, HR, Finance, Central Consultancy Group (CCG), and Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) to ensure achievement of business activities for RDAA.·       Role will have frequent interactions with functional leaders across RDAA QualificationsBachelor's  degree required. Advanced degree preferred. Certifications a plus. Minimum 10 years Business related experience required. 5+ years in pharmaceutical, healthcare or regulated industry and strong knowledge in pharmaceutical regulations i.e. FDA and European Union preferred. 5+ years experience in a business operations/strategy role; and/or experience in finance/accounting/procurement preferred. Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations, i.e. FDA and European Union and their impact to organization processes and technology tools preferred.·       Proven 5-7 years in a leadership role with strong management skills preferred ·       Management consultant or similar business consulting experience strongly preferred·       Experience working in a complex and matrix environment required. Demonstrated ability to lead multi-divisional and multi-functional teams with global aspects required.·       Strong communication skills, both oral and written required. Ability to craft compelling business cases and sell new ideas preferred.·       Experience analyzing complex business problems and facilitating the design of innovative solutions preferred including leading complex strategic initiatives over time·       Prior experience with purchasing or financial processes preferred (including SAP, purchasing, vendor contracts, purchase order set up and invoice resolution). ·       Keen awareness to cultural nuances; proven ability to work in a global environment. ·       Proficiency in project planning and management experience including successful implementation of business and/or technology initiatives preferred.Extensive experience in business operations role preferred.  Note: Higher education may compensate for years of experienceApplicable only to applicants applying to a position in any location with pay disclosure requirements under state or local law: The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
