Are you ready to join an organization that will help unlock your potential?The COO / Area Lead will be tasked with creating and executing the strategic operational strategy and roadmap for the entire Wealth Management organization.  The role will set the operational strategy around the development, planning, and execution in Wealth Management NWOW transformation.   Leading multiple functional areas, they will identify new opportunities by providing value-added solutions driven by data insights and client needs.  Responsibilities include:•    Set and oversee strategic vision for Operational Effectiveness, Advisor Experience, and Profitability Optimization in partnership with other WM HQ and Field Leaders•    Understand the end-to-end Advisor experience and develop innovative solutions to enhance the experience, and structure our organization to best support the experience•    Lead the Governance process for our new Advisor Commission platform •    Create the new resilient operational processes for the Wealth Management organization•    Lead all Executive communications in scope of the role – white papers, presentations, etc.•    Maintain and optimize back-end processes and integration efforts with our third-party firms and Advisors•    Create and maintain a cohesive roadmap of initiatives to drive engagement from short-term current state to long-term optimal state•    Manage and lead a high-performance team accountable for innovating, identifying, and implementing productivity strategies and tactics that drive engagement across Wealth Management•    Responsible for identifying impactful opportunities to drive productivity, quantifying the business value and financial impact through the development and validation of business cases and forecasts, and presenting recommendations to executive leadership.•    Foster an environment to cultivate innovative ideas through utilizing NWOW methodologies such as design thinkingThe COO / Area Lead will be a critical leader of New Ways of Working (NWOW) at Equitable, working closely with the Tribe Leads using Agile methodologies / NWOW principles. They will create the Team vision and goals with the Team and will proactively guide the Team towards these goals under a test-and-learn culture that entails MVP delivery, innovation, frequent engagement with customers and stakeholders and continuous iteration. Note: Once Wealth Management has transitioned through NWOW, this position will manage a team of Product Owners, Team Leads, Chapter Leads, as well as multiple functions.What we’re looking forAgile experience•    Deep experience leading teams in an agile setting•    Experience in facilitating agile ceremonies, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers Mindset and behaviors•    Passion to challenge the status quo and find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas – loves and embraces change•    Belief in a non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust •    Readiness to “roll up the sleeves” and to go outside comfort zone to learn, ability to push teams to do the same •    Readiness to empower others to fail, learn, and grow•    Experimental mindset to drive innovation QualificationsQualificationsRequired Qualifications:•    Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant working experience •    Series 24 requiredPreferred Qualifications:•    Understanding of Equitable’ s sales distribution method and process•    Deep understanding of Client and Advisor needs  •    Strong understanding and knowledge of industry trends around compensation, automation, and technical solutions to support an efficient sales and operational process •    Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams from key stakeholders, technology, operations, marketing, HR, legal and compliance•    Proven leadership experience with influencing change though leveraging agile, adaptive leadership models and change management (e.g., process reconfiguration)•    Strong knowledge of CRM, digital tools and systems •    Strong ability to drive adoption and implementation tools and resources•    Ability to anticipate needs of Advisors and empowers teams to deliver seamless solutions •    Experience with setting the strategy, implementation and change management plans for large complex projects•    Experience fostering and executing in an Agile environment •    Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to all levels of the organization•    Ability to facilitate learning and development through individual and team coaching•    Consultant experience preferred•    Ability to drive the adoption of NWOW / Agile practices and conduct ceremonies: daily huddles, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint demo•    Ability to lead and manage multiple teams to drive outcomes and invest in the growth of team membersSkillsBusiness Markets: Knowledge of existing and planned markets and market-related initiatives from the perspectives of the competition, the suppliers, the customer base and the regulatory environment; ability to apply market knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.Design Thinking: Knowledge of concepts, principles, and processes of design thinking; ability to utilize the knowledge in designing new products and services and even improving organizational operation.Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Demonstrates a commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion by treating everyone with respect and dignity, ensuring all voices are heard and advocating for change.The base salary range for this position is $154,000 - $235,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short and long-term incentive compensation opportunities.
