Arc Herkimer is looking for a Bar/ Restaurant Manager for the MV Golf and Event Center.

The Bar/Restaurant Manager will work with the General Manager and Head Chef on overseeing the staff and day to day operations of the bar and restaurant to ensure efficient operation and satisfied clientele. Attention to detail and use of leadership/management skills are required of the position to make sure customers have great experience.

Responsibilities include:

- Create employee schedules for bar/wait/ and event staff.

- Ensure staff have assigned duties at all times.

- Establish and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.

- Creating reliable financial reports and collecting payments on time.

- Remain at or under budget with all costs.

- Manage and address potential problems that may arise.

- Ensure all staff is following all food control, cleanliness, and safety regulations.

- Ensure bar is profitable by analyzing beer/wine and liquor costs versus sales.

- Work with General Manager with vendors to develop new productions and promotions for bar and restaurant.

- Set and maintain all regulations set forth by the NY State Liquor Authority.

- Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories and budgets.

- Work bar, restaurant, and events as needed/scheduled.

- Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be required by supervisor.

Position requirements:

* High School Diploma/GED preferred.

* Three years experience bartending preferred.

The employee is required to be able to physically intervene with a consumer when necessary using approved S.C.I.P. techniques.
