Asphalt Raker - Colorado Springs

Schmidt Construction, part of the Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Asphalt Raker to work at our Castle Rock, CO location. The Asphalt Raker assists in various tasks including asphalt spreading, raking, and general labor duties to support the paving crew.

Pay: $24-28

Shift/Schedule: 7am-5pm w/ Nights and Weekends

Responsibilities

The Asphalt Raker will:

• Rake asphalt for patching and or paving crew
• Communicate Foreman and field personnel
• Able to perform work Safely
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

• Asphalt crew experience
• Basic Mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, and/or pry
• Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time and work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
• Work outside for an extended period of time and ability to work at elevated heights
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
