CNA Certified Nurse Responsibilities
Assume responsibility for varied resident care duties as assigned by charge nurse to include admitting, discharging, transferring and caring for the resident’s personal belongings and assisting the professional nurse in performing resident treatments
Bathe the resident in bed, tub or shower, combs hair, cleans and cuts fingernails and gives shampoos;
Make both occupied and unoccupied beds;
Assist with self-medications;
Assist with treatments and vitals, as necessary;
Verifie that all residents have wrist bands, medication, picture, and door tags;
Accompany residents when transported outside facility for appointments, as needed;
Participate in the formulation and follow through of the resident’s nursing care plan;
Take and record weights, blood pressures, temperatures, pulse and respiration
Assist all residents with their meals and provides in between meal nourishment, as well as providing fresh ice and water to the resident’s bedside, as needed;
Handle and attend to residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort, adhering to instructions issued by the nursing supervisor and or charge nurse to establish shift routines
Assume responsibility for varied resident care duties as assigned by charge nurse to include admitting, discharging, transferring and caring for the resident’s personal belongings and assisting the professional nurse in performing resident treatments
FULL TIME CNA'S ARE REQUIRED TO WORK EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.
