Knitting Operator 3rd Shift

We are looking for a: Knitting Operator General Summary: We are seeking a skilled Knitting Operator. This position will be responsible for insuring and maintaining acceptable quality and efficiency on their assigned machines. This role requires candidates to have good organizational habits throughout the department. Required Skills: Must be able to inspect, repair, and replenish yarn if broken or running low. Communicate effectively with team members by reporting any issues. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and engage in constant movement. Excels in attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork. Responsibilities: Maintain Machine Operation: Ensure uninterrupted machine operation by repairing yarn breaks, performing acceptable start-ups, and promptly addressing mechanical issues. Monitor and Ensure Quality: Monitor yarn packages, visually inspect materials for defects, and distinguish between good and bad quality material to maintain product quality standards. Perform Maintenance Tasks: Regularly replenish yarn packages, clean assigned machines weekly, and replace components such as pile tubes, needles, and filling tubes as needed. Communicate and Report: Report recurring defects, excessive stops, and machine problems to supervisors, and effectively communicate with team members to ensure timely resolution of issues and continuous improvement in production processes.
