One (1)/Full-Time/40hrs/Non-Exempt/$21.00 - $29.40 per hour (DOE)

Pay differentials offered - must qualify through testing or verification for the following special competencies.

*Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish ($1.00 per hour)

*Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language - Interpret from American Sign Language (ASL) to English, and English to ASL. ($1.00 per hour)

Redwood Community Services in Eureka, CA is hiring a full-time, experienced Care Manager or Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist to work with children and youth. Provide individual and group rehab services in Humboldt County, maintaining a full case load of clients, and competence to document for Medi-Cal services. Assist in providing self-care & behavior training & support by leading groups for children & youth as required by each individual’s client plan. Under the direction of a Licensed Clinician; is responsible for planning and implementing one-to-one therapeutic contact with community-based children referred by Counties. Participates as a member of the child's treatment team and works closely with a staff team regarding matters pertaining to best supporting and helping clients with their specified behavioral objectives. Must be able to provide written verification of experience upon hire. Bilingual preferred, not required. Must be able to drive personal vehicle for work related duties and transport of clients. 100,000 / 300,000 Liability Insurance required.

Classifications and Qualifications for CM/MHRS: 

• Care Manager II: At least 2 years of full time experience in the Mental Health field
• Care Manager III: At least 4 years of full time experience in the Mental Health field
• MHRS I: Associate degree +6 years experience in the Mental Health field
• MHRS II: Bachelor's degree +4 years experience in the Mental Health field
• MHRS III: Master's degree +2 years experience in the Mental Health field

Must be able to provide written verification of experience upon hire. Prior experience of Experiential Learning, and group facilitation are preferred, not required. Bilingual preferred, not required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CA Driver's License, Current Auto Insurance, Clean DMV Printout (no more than 3 points on your record), clear background check w/ DOJ, CACI, FBI, CPR and First Aid Certified. TB Test and Physical at the time of employment.  

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position may work within ALL other agency programs, consistent with their scope of practice, on a as needed basis. In addition, may require an occasional flexible work schedule to meet the individualized needs of each client.
