Tilden-Coil Constructors is seeking highly experienced Construction Project Manager with a minimum of  5-10 years of construction management experience for upcoming projects in the Los Angeles, Inland Empire, Long Beach & Coachella Valley Areas. 


The ideal candidate will have experience managing DSA (Division of the State Architect) and commercial construction projects of $30 Million or more. The right individual will love construction management and have a track record of successful projects and happy clients.


Potential projects will be within our core markets of: K-12, Higher Education, Institutional, Civic, Healthcare, Hospitality or Commercial Construction.


Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Tilden-Coil's core markets is required. (see above)
  • The ideal candidate will have experience managing DSA (Division of the State Architect) and/or commercial construction projects of $30 Million or more as the Project Manager.
  • 10 years of experience in the Project Manager role.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and strong relationship building skills with teams, client, sub-contractors & inspectors is essential.
  • Must have a track record of having control and command of all phases of construction, documentation control, project schedule and performance deliverables for prior projects.

Mindset: The Project Manager (PM) takes complete ownership for all aspects of the project, team members, responsibilities and results. In order to function at the highest level, the Project Manager understands the criticalness of being proactive, positive, assertive, client service focused and maintaining a whatever-it-takes attitude toward achieving the project objectives.



Role & Performance Expectations: The PM leads the team that manages the project including the Superintendent, Engineer, and Administrator.  The PM is responsible for leading all phases of the Development Process beginning with a strong start-up through the Preconstruction process and insuring we build tremendous momentum through internal and external team members to quickly advance the project through the production process. These processes can be found in the service model and are not specifically listed in this job description. The PM maintains control and command to ensure we achieve our performance objectives, that all processes are being well executed and adjusts when any objective shows signs of underperformance.  The PM is also responsible for the business side of the project including primary client interface, ensuring financial health, appropriate risk transfer and team development.



Minimum Responsibilities: This is a field or office based position, depending on the size and/or complexity of the project. The Project Manager must be able to perform and manage the responsibilities of the Superintendent, Engineer, and Administrator.
