As part of our team, you’ll perform complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. This position reports to the Service Manager.

What you’ll focus on:

  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology
  • Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
  • Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information
  • May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
  • Conduct or support customer clinics
  • Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
  • Other duties as assigned

What we need from you:

  • Ability to perform service repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures
  • Experience working with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in off road, construction, lawn, or heavy equipment
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Strong communication skill verbally and in writing
  • Must have an adequate toolset to perform job responsibilities
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ever better if you have (although not required to apply):
    1. Demonstrated experience consistently meeting performance metrics
    2. Experience with basic computer functions; experience using Service ADVISOR™ or other computer based diagnostic repair tools
    3. CDL (Commercial Driver’s License)

The hours of work and days are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. During peak seasons (fall and spring), every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
