The Principal Software Engineer leads the architecture, design, development, test, and integration of software features for RAVE In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) software products. This role is crucial for setting technical direction and ensuring the high quality of software solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture, design, and high-level software solutions
  • Act as a technical mentor for engineering teams
  • Contribute to CI/CD, testing, test automation, and software delivery practices
  • Work with modern technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, NodeJS, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Swagger, Jest, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
  • Advocate for software quality and security through testing methodologies like SAST, DAST, Vulnerability Scanning
  • Leverage Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
  • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 10-15+ years of software development experience
  • 3+ years in a Senior or above level role within software engineering
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML5, NodeJS, TypeScript, React
  • Knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control systems like Jenkins, Bitbucket
  • Experience with Qt highly desired
