Contents and Cleaning Technician

Salary: $15-$20+/hr BOE

Contents Technicians are the first team that works closely with our clients who have experienced fire damage. Customers see them as the heroes who show up in their time of need and turn a chaotic situation into a positive experience. They are the boots on the ground who deliver 5 Star service to our customers! Technicians operate with a sense of urgency and get excited about opportunities to put their skills, training and certifications to the test. No two days are ever the same!

Typical Duties:

Fire Damage 

• Evaluate the customer’s belongings (their “Contents”) and provide guidance on what can or should be restored. 
• Use expert care to inventory, pack up, and move contents to allow for reconstruction
• Clean affected Contents before moving them to long-term storage.
• Once reconstruction is complete, move the contents back in and unpack for the customer.
• Clean structures that have been affected by smoke damage

Water Damage

• Use expert care to document, inventory, pack up, and move contents to allow for repairs to be made
• Perform final cleaning for reconstruction projects 
• Occasionally assist our water damage mitigation and mold remediation teams

Other

• Carpet Cleaning
• Use iPad and iPhone to document job site conditions.

 

Previous damage restoration experience is not required for a Level 1 (entry-level) technician, however, some cleaning and/or packing and moving knowledge is preferred. For experienced Restoration Technicians, IICRC certifications allow you to enter as a Level 2 or a Lead Technician.

Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and use hand trucks and lifting straps. Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Willing to be on-call for one week every 6 weeks.
