Client Overview: Our client was established in 1975. They have built up our leadership in the development of automated production lines in the absorbent hygiene products and consumer goods sector for home and personal care through converting technology. They have been recognized as a strategic partner that leverages the international group expertise to develop unique concepts, innovative technologies, along with consultancy and technical assistance. Offering its knowledge to manufacture machinery, upgrade kits and pre- and after-sales service.

Job title: Controller - West Chester, OH 

Mission: The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial accounting functions including monthly close cycle, AR, AP, financial reporting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecast and adherence to internal controls.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Manager in elaborating the site's budget for the year and cash flow forecast, providing to all the Departments and to Headquarters monthly actual data and analysis of possible deviations from the annual budget and/or period, in order to implement and/or make possible timely initiatives
  • Guarantee the proper realization and management of the administrative documents / statements required by law, executing both timely payments for suppliers, taxes, duties, VAT, EBT, etc., to the respective counterparts (AP management), and collecting payments from the Customers (AR management), according to any law in force, existing contracts and Company procedures.
  • Support the preparation of the monthly financial statements and financial statement package and review with leadership
  • Ensure the control of costs, revenues and margins for the Company, providing economic reporting on a monthly basis
  • Review the general ledger and complete supporting reconciliations and journal entries
  • Contribute to ensure the protection of Property, executing or facilitating the audits requested (both internal and external), maintaining properly specific books (fixed assets and intangible assets), and supporting risk assessment and investigation activities aimed at minimizing several risks (such as credit risks, legal & commercial risks, insurance risk, financing risks, tax treatment, etc.), in line with Headquarters' procedures as well as with insurance policies held by the Group and in compliance with the law
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Budgeting, forecasting, reporting
  • Accounting Management
  • Auditing, Risk & Assets Management
  • Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
  • Problem solving aptitude
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP system is considered a plus
  • At least 5 years as Controller in multinational companies. Experience in machinery sector can be a plus
  • Degree in Economics / Accounting. MBA and other relevant certificates preferred
  • Fluent in English language
