Position Overview:

As the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of our food products. This position requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in food safety and quality management, regulatory compliance, and team supervision. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Quality Management:

  • Develop, implement, and manage quality control processes to ensure the production of high-quality food products.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.
  • Collaborate with production and manufacturing teams to resolve quality-related issues promptly.

Food Safety Compliance:

  • Oversee and enforce compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards.
  • Develop and maintain HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) plans and ensure their effective implementation.
  • Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry best practices.

Auditing and Documentation:

  • Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality assurance processes, inspections, and audits.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training to staff on food safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for training and skill development.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the quality and safety of incoming raw materials.
  • Evaluate and qualify new suppliers, conducting audits as necessary.

Incident Management:

  • Develop and implement procedures for handling food safety incidents and product recalls.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve incidents in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, with at least [Y] years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
