School Psychologist Wanted for aNorth Carolina School District 2024/2025 School Year

Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate School Psychologist to join our dynamic team in a North Carolina school district. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. You will work collaboratively with educators, administrators, parents, and munity members to support the diverse needs of the student population.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct prehensive assessments to evaluate students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral difficulties.
  • Consult with school staff and parents to address concerns related to student behavior, learning, and development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for school staff and parents on topics such as behavior management, social skills development, and crisis prevention.
  • Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legal requirements related to school psychology and special education.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license or certification as a School Psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations in a school or clinical setting.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, including experience with standardized testing and behavioral observation.
  • Excellent munication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
