THE POSITION

The Office of the Budget is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Auditor 1. Within this role, you will perform audits, consultation, and advisory journey-level work activities to assist Internal Audit in achieving its mission and service to the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB). DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will serve independently or as a contributing member of a team, completing assigned duties while developing a working knowledge of PLCB functions, auditing and office techniques. Work involves traveling to assignment site locations to interview staff and obtain evidence. Duties focus primarily on testing transactions, performing inventories, visually examining records and documentation, and observing events to ensure that PLCB policy, designed internal controls, and laws and regulations are adhered to. You will prepare and organize the required audit documentation necessary to support the conclusions reached and the recommendations made.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

  • Alternate work schedule is available upon completion of the probationary period.
  • This position is home based but will require field travel in LCBS Region 2 to include Northumberland, Schuylkill, Berks, Perry, Snyder, Lebanon, Dauphin, Cumberland, York, Lancaster, and Lehigh Counties.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Requirement of at minimum three (3) days a week, on location at an assigned liquor store. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the assigned store.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Financial Programs Trainee; or

  • Four years of accounting and/or auditing experience; and fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which includes fifteen (15) college level credits in accounting and auditing.


Other Requirements:

  • This particular position also requires possession of a current driver's license which is not under suspension.
