Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Customer & Terminal Data Coordinator with general knowledge in the oil and gas industry with strong organizational and customer service skills in the Oil & Gas Industry to join our growing team!

Role Summary:

The Customer & Terminal Data Coordinator role is responsible for maintaining all customer and product data in the Terminal Management System (TMS) to assure terminal customers can load trucks properly and all transactional data is correct.

Responsibilities & Essential Functions include:

  • Database Management. Maintaining all databases in the central terminal management system (TMS), including stockholder, customer, account, consignee, carrier, and carrier cross-references.
  • Account Set Up and Management. Creating and assigning stockholder numbers and set up new customers and suppliers at all terminals in TMS and performing stockholder requests including lockout and re-open requests.
  • Customer Service. Providing exceptional customer service through the development of professional relationships with internal and external customers, including assisting, as necessary, with resolving customer truck loading problems (24\7).
  • Maintaining Agreements. Maintaining all carrier access agreements and keep current with certificates of insurance, etc. Includes keeping current carrier contact and mailing lists.
  • Software Support. Assisting as necessary with special TMS and TopHat projects including upgrades\integration on new versions of software, changes in customer reporting, company policy and procedure updates, company changes (acquisitions, customer mergers and new product offerings) etc. May include creation of test data to ensure all information and reporting is populated accurately.
  • Carrier Management. Keeping the carrier list within Buckeye up to date and obtaining updated carrier's certificate of liability insurance to ensure load outage does not occur.
  • And other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
  • General knowledge of the petroleum industry will be helpful to this role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team based environment.
  • Since this position includes contact with customers and field managers, excellent customer service skills are required in order to be successful in this position.
  • This position requires someone who can work well under pressure and can handle multiple tasks at once.

  • This position requires the ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or/quantitative productivity standards.
  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
