Pro Staff, based in Starbuck, MN, is actively seeking a Food Services Director to fill our latest direct hire position.


Salary: $50,000-$52,000 per year


Shift: Day shift with potential evening and weekend hours


As the Food Services Director, you will provide leadership and oversight to ensure the provision of appetizing, appealing, and nourishing food to residents with various dietary needs.


Qualifications:

  • Three years of food service experience with at least one year in a supervisory role
  • Possession of CDM credentials
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)


General Responsibilities:

  • Hiring, assigning, evaluating, and orientating employees in the dietary department
  • Implementing in-service training and development programs
  • Establishing and updating departmental procedures
  • Controlling departmental costs within budget
  • Ordering, receiving, and managing stock of departmental supplies
  • Collaborating with the dietician and Director of Nursing to prepare regular and special diets
  • Ensuring compliance with sanitary regulations
  • Consulting with the dietician on operating issues and therapeutic diets
  • Instructing employees on equipment use and maintenance
  • Preparing work schedules for food service employees
  • Supervising sanitation, housekeeping, and safety standards
  • Completing MDS and nutrition risk assessments
  • Participating in care conferences and disaster planning drills
  • Adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Administrator
