About the role

As a Business Development Director, you will play a critical role in the continued growth of BigHand Technology, with the primary responsibility for generating revenue in your assigned territory. 

The Business Development Director will prospect for opportunities by conducting outreach and securing qualified appointments that lead to opportunities within the addressable market, generating revenue for BigHand's Financial Productivity software solutions.

What you’ll do
  • Conduct a high volume of outbound phone calls, email campaigns, and other lead-generation activities to existing and prospective customers to identify decision-makers and opportunities with the goal of building and closing opportunities in the funnel.
  • Work campaigns consisting of pre-qualified calls or cold calls and securing appointments.
  • Build relationships deep and wide across the the legal industry with key personas including the C-suite.
  • Learn and understand the value proposition of BigHand Financial Productivity software solutions and effectively communicate this understanding to existing and prospective customers.
  • Track, qualify and route leads sent from all sources including but not limited to direct mail campaigns, inbound and outbound calling, marketing, new sales group, special events, trade shows, and company websites.
  • Be curious, and acquire and leverage investigation or probing skills to uncover sales opportunities.
  • Occasional business travel (25%) for high-level meetings, conferences, and events.
What we’re looking for
  • Ability to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Experience working in a professional sales environment, preferably with direct sales experience from lead to close for SaaS technologies
  • Strong communication skills with confidence conversing with senior stakeholders and industry leaders.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Outreach are a plus.
  • Able to quickly and expertly navigate various search tools, including utilization of appropriate search techniques to identify useful information supporting your sales efforts.
  • Insatiable curiosity with proven investigation and probing skills to
    uncover sales opportunities.
  • Expert in leveraging LinkedIn and other social channels to drive engagement and build relationships.
