HVAC Estimator & Project Manager - Commercial

Broadley's Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, is seeking a hands-on HVAC Project Manager with commercial experience to join our Small Business Direct Install (SBDI) Department.

Family owned and operated since 1911, Broadley's proudly serves as one of south Jersey's leading providers of HVAC and plumbing services, and energy management solutions; residential and commercial.

As a registered trade ally of NJ's clean energy SBDI program administered through the utilities, our SBDI team offers turnkey services to program applicants. From qualification through installation, the team's goal is to identify opportunities to increase the energy efficiency of small businesses while maximizing program incentives to off-set their out-of-pocket costs.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate for this role is a hands-on, experienced commercial HVAC installer with experience leading projects from assessment through install. You are a solutions-oriented problem solver, confident decision maker, and recognize the importance of both customer satisfaction and on-the-job worksite safety.

Job Type: Full-time, 40% in office and 60% in field

Qualifications / Skills:

  • 5+ years in HVAC as a commercial/industrial service technician and/or installer
  • 2+ years in Project Management
  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC system design, installation, and safety principles
  • Technical aptitude, resourceful problem-solver with attention to detail
  • Resource allocation and planning experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Clean DMV Report; ability to be insured

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct energy assessments and manage customer relationships
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate cross-departmentally to manage leads, backlog, install requirements, scheduling, delivery of materials /equipment, job-site requirements, and troubleshooting
  • Estimate projects to replace HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration ensuring compliance with SBDI program requirements
  • Prepare Scope-Of-Work, Proposal documents, and in/exclusions statements
  • Submit program applications for approval
  • Obtain quotes, order equipment, and coordinate delivery
  • Manage subcontractors including: electrical, crane/rigging contractors, controls, ...
  • Create and maintain project budgets
  • Purchase equipment and track arrival to ensure timely install
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, contractors, vendors, and staff
  • Communicate professionally, accurately, and timely - internally and externally
  • Evaluate dept process / procedures and suggest improvements
  • Enforce company policies, procedures, and jobsite safety protocols

Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000 + per year, commensurate with experience
