Licensed Practical Nurse

night shift needed 8hr/12hr shifts availabe
Performs routine functions relating to patient care including but not limited to observation of vital signs, taking physician orders, and patient data transcription.

Position Responsibilities

• Initiate treatments as prescribed by physician or care plan.
• • Take and record patients’ vital signs.
• Administer medication as prescribed by a physician.
• Document and report signs indicating a change in the patient's condition or behavior.
• Transcribe physicians’ orders from patient charts as directed or required.
• Answer patient calls and offer assistance as necessary.
• Assist in the maintenance of a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Supervision is received from designated Nursing Services Personnel.

• Experience: One (1) year of current experience is required.
• Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
• Special Qualifications: Must have a current unencumbered license to practice nursing in Kentucky. (Indiana license required for assignments in Indiana.
• May be responsible for other LPNs or nursing assistants while working under RN direction.
• Physical Demands: Moderate physical demands-should be able to utilize good body mechanics.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
