SMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for a skilled Microbiology Technician!
Job Title: Microbiology Technician I
Job Location: Sturgis, MI, U.S.A. 49091
Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)
Pay: $13.50 an hour
Shift Structure: 2nd shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
3rd shift, 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
The role of the Microbiology Technician:
- Craft laboratory media and solutions with precision and care.
- Operate autoclave and maintain a sterile laboratory environment.
- Prepare pH solutions to exact specifications.
- Plate and enumerate microbial cultures with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Compile and organize data reports, utilizing our specialized software tools.
- Analyze data effectively, drawing insightful conclusions and identifying trends.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues to communicate findings and contribute to team objectives.
- Demonstrate alertness, conscientiousness, and adaptability in every task.
- Exhibit strong analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Embrace opportunities for continuous learning and development, remaining flexible to new training experiences.
About the Microbiology Technician:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field.
- Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Eagerness to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
