Job Description
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the procurement specialist to ensure that all deliveries satisfy open orders or projects and report any backorders.
- Monitor Inventory levels and materials on a regular basis
- Effectively communicate with procurement specialist to ensure order accuracy.
- Deliver a weekly Purchase Orders report that include satisfied and open orders with invoice reconciliation.
- Issue Purchase Orders as demand requires and in accordance with supplier lead times.
- Attend regular calls with internal teams and suppliers
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Require high school/GED. Prefer a 2 or 4-year Degree in Business.
• 1-2 years’ Purchasing/Buyer experience in the Construction and/or Engineering field preferred.
• Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power Generation preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skill.
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems.
• Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations.
• Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments.
• Ability to organize and coordinate.
• Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience with Viewpoint Software preferred.
• Ability to travel as needed.
