JOB TITLE: Peer Support Specialist- Mobile Clinic – Columbus County

SUPERVISED BY: Mobile Clinic Clinical Coordinator

Coastal Horizons Center is looking for an experienced Peer Support Specialist to be a part of our mobile clinics in Bladen County, serving individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders. We are looking for an energetic, flexible, and knowledgeable peer support who will be on site at the mobile clinic M-F.

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

HS Diploma or higher, combined with knowledge of wellness and recovery-based concepts. Personal experience as a consumer of mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment, or some equivalent experience preferred. Certified as a Peer Support Specialist in NC.

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

The Peer Support Specialist provides recovery based supportive services for Coastal Horizons clients in Bladen County on a mobile unit to assist them in pursuing and achieving health, wellness & recovery goals. Provide access to care for clients with substance use and/or mental health disorders on a mobile unit. Promotes consumer engagement in therapy with clinicians, engagement with psychiatric appointments, involvement and engagement with wellness services and recovery support, and engagement with primary care. Completes all tracking and reporting requirements for outcomes and evaluation, and documents services provided.
