Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and other technologists to improve patient care. Provides call services on a rotational basis. Apply previous computer experience to new applications for imaging and record keeping. May be required to travel to provide services at clinics throughout the Consortium. Understand that inadequate communication with the patient, provider, and radiologist can adversely affect patient health. Creatively works with other SEARHC staff to solve problems.Performs diagnostic CT exams of human anatomy. Places IVs for contrast injections. Follows protocols set by the radiologist. Performs daily QA/QC on CT equipment. Receives patient, explains procedure, and creates a safe environment for the patient through good communication skills. Accurately inputs pertinent medical information into EHR, RIS/PACS, and other systems as necessary. Is very familiar with power injectors and appropriate use. Understands various types of contrast media and their use. Performs diagnostic x-ray examinations of human anatomy. Follows standard positions and protocols, and views prescribed by SEARHC radiologists. Receives patients, explains procedures and utilizes standardized techniques, settings, and positions to accomplish acceptable results.Office Duties. Performs office jobs including, but not limited to: answering phones, scheduling patients exams, printing reports, retrieving charts, researching problems, ordering supplies and helping radiologists and providers. Responsible for QA and QC for SEARHC imaging modalities.
