Christian Heritage School (CHS) is a thriving academically and spiritually rigorous Christian day school located in Southern Connecticut. With over 400 students, it is one of the largest K-12 Christian schools in the Northeast and draws students from numerous towns across the state. It has a diverse student body that comes together to grow in knowledge, faith, and character within a loving, grace-filled environment.

High School English Teacher: seeking a qualified and experienced high school English teacher who can inspire and engage students in literature, grammar, vocabulary and writing: model Christian faith, character and biblical principles; teach 5 classes (Literature and Composition, American Literature) and assist with other basic school responsibilities.

Anticipated start date on or about August 18, 2024

Job Requirements:

Candidate must be professionally qualified, who enjoys working with young people and who, by the pattern of their lives, are Christian role models in faith and deed.

  • College degree in education and/or English
  • Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Relevant and rich teaching experiences
  • A love for and understanding of high schoolers
  • A clear understanding and acceptance of basic Biblical principles
  • A strong personal Christian faith in alignment with CHS Statement of Faith
