Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team in Rochester, NY. The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the day-to-day operations of our landscape construction and turf and landscape maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering top-notch construction and landscaping services.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Plan, organize, and supervise landscape construction and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Plan, organize, and supervise turf services division
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of skilled professionals, including project managers, supervisors, and field crews.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster a high-performing team.
3. Resource Allocation:
- Efficiently allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and equipment.
4. Client Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their expectations and address any concerns.
- Provide updates on project progress and ensure client satisfaction.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to uphold the company's standards of excellence.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and safety compliance.
6. Budget Management:
- Work closely with the finance department to develop and manage project budgets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure projects are financially viable.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about local regulations and ensure all projects adhere to relevant compliance standards.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction projects.
Qualifications:
- Proven 3 years experience in operations management within the landscaping or construction industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of landscaping practices, materials, and equipment.
- Familiarity with budgeting and financial management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
