Job Description
Position Title: Quality Assistant
Location: Houma, LA
Reporting to: Quality Manager
Essential Functions
Responsible for working within the Quality Department to support the daily activities of Benoit’s Quality Management System. The Quality Assistant will assist the Quality Manager and Quality Supervisor in the management of Benoit’s Quality Program, including documenting and storing calibration records, product drawings, technical specifications, QMS documents, database management, etc.
Role and Responsibilities
· Procurement and documentation of customer rental gauges.
· Maintain current revisions of customer specifications in SharePoint.
· Assist Quality Manager with documenting results of Internal Audits.
· Assist Quality Specialist with updating dates in the Access Calibration Database each month.
· Assist Quality Manager & Quality Supervisor with generation, maintenance & deletion of any/all QMS documents, as hard copies, computer files (MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc) & in SharePoint.
· Maintain personnel training records and other computer files and documents.
· Performs other tasks as assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Supervisor.
Candidate’s minimum skills and experiences.
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent required – College coursework is a plus
Self-directed, independent, detail-oriented, and highly motivated
Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and written.
Strong organizational and computer skills - (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Office 365)
Ability to multitask in fast-paced team environment with a focus on overall quality
Exposure to manufacturing operations preferred but not required.
